HAP'NINS: VIRGIN FEST

I've been trying to figure out how to do email blasts all morning, and I'm kind of over it. (Just kidding, Mauro. I love it. It's a blast.) So let's discuss the newly announced full line-up for this year's Virgin Mobile Festival in Baltimore. Some of the bands, including a couple of the headliners, confuse me as they're not currently relevant nor have they been m.i.a. long enough to warrant a comeback show. I don't know, maybe you get stoked on hearing "Pretty Fly for a White Guy." Here 'tis:

Aug 9:
Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Wilco, The Offspring, Paramore, The Swell Season, Bloc Party, Chuck Berry & the Silver Beats, Cat Power, Lupe Fiasco, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Gogol Bordello, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Duffy, Citizen Cope, KT Tunstall, Soulwax, DJ Dan & Donald Glaude, Underworld, Erol Alkan, Ferry Corstan, Steve Lawler.

Aug 10:
Bob Dylan, Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Lil Wayne (hey boo), Taking Back Sunday, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Go! Team, She & Him, The Black Keys, Andrew Bird, Shudder to Think, Chromeo, Moby (DJ set), Armin Van Buuren, Rabbit in the Moon, Richie Hawtin, Deadmaus, Pendulum.

As much as I like to avoid large, sweaty crowds, I will probably end up going, mostly to stare at Zooey Deschanel. Luh you, girl.
