LABEL LOVE!: CHIP & PEPPER

Long before the days of premium denim, identical twins Chip & Pepper Foster sold hand dyed tees and shorts out of the back of their jeep in Winnepeg, Manitoba. In the early 1990's, the pair hosted a Saturday morning show on NBC, Chip & Pepper's Cartoon Madness.

It wasn't until the launch of their store Golf Punk, however, that the twins began to think about branching out into the wide world of denim. In 2003, Chip & Pepper launched their high-end denim line, a collection that has recently expanded to include maternity, kids, knitwear, hats, leather goods, and sportswear.

In addition to C&P staple cuts like Stella and Olivia, we recently received the San Francisco Flare (similar to Stella, but a true flare and a great butt lifter!), Stuffin for the Muffin (a high-rise trouser, perfect for tucking in tummies), and Tally Flare (a throwback bellbottom with a frayed hem and marijuana pocket, which you can use for hiding...bubblegum). Multiple styles are available at both store locations.

On Sallie: Splendid Foil Henley in Silver, $78; Chip & Pepper Tally Flare in Medora, $187; Harteau Crescent Heights Belt in Ivory, call for price.
